On the Topic of Money

One news story that's interested me is the current situation around oil. In our normal lives, it's a something highly sought after. In some cases, it's even sparked wars. However, in this time of crisis, the value of it has gone into the negatives. It's interesting to me how such a highly valued resource can quickly become something that nobody needs anymore once the way of living changes. I doubt there will be any long-term change once this is over, but it makes me wonder if this could serve as an example of, if we shift how we live, we could rely on more natural resources instead of oil and fossil fuels. I'm interested to see how else this pandemic will impact our economy, though I'm worried at the same time.
